03] Novembernights In Leicester … Dark and cold. Leicester comes alive in the winter months, as the university students return and breath a youthful exuberant breath into the city, awakening the music and life of the city.

We’ve all been a motherfucker in our life’s at some point, but the key is not to stay one. Just visit the motherfucker in you, but don’t stay, its not a nice place to be.

05.05] We Love To Talk … Over email. With the band being spread all over England, we’re in constant communication with emails, but its not only music and band things that we talk about, it could be anything.
At the minute we’re mainly talking about how the recording of ‘The Quiet Lamb’ is going. With us all sending some of our parts to each other, and Tom Morris handing most of the mixing, we’re constantly getting rough mixes of songs or new ideas being sent to each other. It’s really good as it keeps us all excited and keen to meet up and make the ideas flesh.

06] Denovali … Are really nice guys and know what they’re doing. They have given us this massive opportunity to expand across Europe and the World. They have similar ideas to us regarding packaging and marketing. and they have been very good at communicating and getting things done with our current UK label Gizeh. They are both working to get our music out there and listen to, which is highly commendable! I tell you.

07] The Point For Throwing The Cello In The Corner … Erm, is this some Dirty Dancing reference? ‘No body puts the cello in the corner!’

08] The Fairytales From The W-onderground … Are wilde. With this I think you’ve opened up a whole load of other questions on subverting young minds. Do we attempt to be subversive? no. We don’t attempt to be anything, other than ourselves. Will we ever make music for children? Hm….

09] Songs To Keep The Heart Empty … Should be sung alone. No idea what you’re referencing here. What I will say however is that being in Her Name is Calla doesn’t seem to help the love life at all. Our audiences seem to be mostly men, many with beards (not a bad thing at all). I’ve yet to see any sign of the groupies I got into music for in the first place.

10] I Like Trains While Being Worriedaboutsatan … Ha ha, this is erm what!?
Both bands are our friends, bands that we like and like playing with and along side. Thom Corah played trombone on the I Like Trains Spencer Percival b-side I am Murdered, and Tom Morris sang on the Worriedaboutsatan song Evil Dogs.
We’re actually due to be touring next Easter across the UK and Europe with Worriedaboutsatan.
Its already looking to be a great tour as both bands are big Arnold Swartcheneger fans. (I CANT SPELL)

11] The World Wide Wrap … Is a yearly event organised by the FJMC to allow Jews from all over the world to participate in and learn about the mitzvar of tefillin. In it’s tenth year, it involves hundreds of individual clubs from around the world, but seems centred on the State, particularly as it is held on Super Bowl Sunday. What I’d like to see is a group of people getting it wrong and thinking they’re turning up to the World Wide Rap…

11.2] Six + One Is … 7. In fact one of out new songs, currently being recorded for The Quiet Lamb, had a working title as 7. but not any more. you’ll have to guess which one is it.

12] You VS. Shortcuts? … We never take them, along with the thoughts at the top. the we take journey makes the song what it is, take that away and you have nothing of substance.
all of our music is a labour of love.
Also its at the top of the myspace as its a bit of an inside joke, because everything always takes us so long to do.

13] At The Bar Of The Post Summer Fest … Unfortunately this was cancelled so we didn’t end up playing, which was a shame as we we’re really looking forward to it.
We managed to use the day wisely, we spent the day at a lake close by swimming and sleeping, staying in some tents and have a nice quiet day.

13.3] Finally On The Road Again … Hell yes!! we love being on the road, the best tour we’ve ever had and the most fun we’ve ever had on tour happened this year, touring over mainland Europe, it was truly eye opening.
We love being out there, playing our songs and meeting all the people that come to the shows. It’s something we all love doing and we always try to be the best we can, making sure our gigs are something to remember and to look forward to for everyone involved us and the audience

There are mostly comic illustrations on that website about women being haltered, electrocuted, decapitated, with men standing around them raping them or masturbating. It’s really nasty. The lyrics to that song make direct references to that website. It’s a song about power, in its purest form. About how permanent exposure to sexual stimuli, to beautiful bodies on billboards and on tv, cripples our desires and inevitably leads to sexual frustration, and how sexual frustration leads to the quest for power, as compensation for frustration, and to the will of using force. That scheme is true not only for sexual frustration and sexual violence, but for any type of frustration and any type of violence, so the song is basically just a metaphor for a larger mechanism of human behavior.
